Musica Super Stereo Orgoal Music Box
How cool is this?! I have one that’s a keeper but it’s a much smaller version-this one is a whopper in comparison. It comes with wear consistent with age and use and is missing its jewellery drawers but it still plays and what a tune! Feelings by Morris Albert-such a beautiful tune. I always think of Nina Simone’s version at Montreux 1976 - Look it up-it’s magical.
Anyway, back to the music box-it works when you wind it up and move the arm across-just like a real record player although it sort of needs to be nearer the middle of the record this time. The on/off knob is for show only. Made in Hong Kong as all the best mid-century plastics were, this beaut measures approx. 24 x 8.5 x 11 cm. These are getting harder to find and go for a fair amount so I have priced it fairly I hope. It’s not a big margin for me at all.
