Wooden Deer Trio
Perfectly kitsch, this trio of carved deers-a parent with two youngsters-can be arranged in many a beautiful way. Expertly sculpted from one piece of wood each, they stand on spindly legs and reach up out of the added base plinth to nibble at the berries up high or to appreciate the moon! They are unmarked so I can’t say who crafted them but they have a Black Forest look to me. Each appears to missing some small horns as there are holes where they should be. It isn’t immediately obvious. The parent measures 16 cm in height and the darling deerlings around 10.5 cm.
