See-Through 80s Home Telephone
***RING RING***RING RING*** Hello! It’s the 80s calling!
Do you recall that time in the late 80s when we all went bonkers for see-through shiz? There were staplers, swatch watches, kettles, salt and pepper grinders (I even went to school in a see-through flying suit on mufti day-accidentally I might add!)…all manner of things we suddenly wanted to see the innards of! This was the phone.
Influenced by the 80s Memphis style in its block colours and design, this plug-in home phone handset and base, complete with turquoise coiled joining cable and silver line is known as the Mybelle Spotlight 753. It has an old fashioned alarm bell style ring (you can see the bell!) and it lights up when it rings (you can see the bulbs!).
It’s so of it’s time but with excellent futuristic style which means it will have many a hey day again! Untested (as I don’t have a landline connection!) but I can’t see a reason why it wouldn’t work (full refund if it doesn’t obviously!). It has touch tone yellow numbers, a colourful circuit board and a switch to choose between pulse and tone (not sure what that means tbh!)
Measures approx 22 x 10 x 8 cm and can be used flat or fixed to a wall.
