Louis Marx Toys Nativity Set 1950s
Beautifully aged and almost complete-only missing a manger and a second shepherd-this wonderful set from Louis Marx Toys of the United States, was released in the 1950s. It has clearly been loved. The figures are highly detailed and are set in lively dynamic poses-you can get a real sense of the excitement of the new arrival. Each piece is made in a 60mm (1:32) scale and stands freely apart from the wonky donkey which needs propping up. Each plastic piece is stamped on the base with the Marx logo. 13 pieces in all.
Wonderfully timeworn with faded paint, paint loss, a donkey with a missing leg, an angel with clipped wings, a baby with no manger, and a lost shepherd.
